Liposuction vs Gastric Bypass Surgery
Surgery, the way to a new you. Being thin is one of the most important things in society these days. Nothing is better than loosing a few pounds. Just the feeling alone is worth it. It's always an incredible feeling. At last, it's never enough. Loosing just a few pounds is rarely what people want. Most people need a lot more than that. Loosing the weight doesn't always mean looking thinner. Even though there is a change, we are disappointed when we see such a small result. So people resort to surgery. One of the most popular surgeries out there is the gastric bypass surgery. Getting your stomach stapled, or reducing the volume of your stomach some how. This surgery is quite dangerous. Not only is the surgery dangerous, but also afterwards. Keeping the diet, and exercising. Not eating the way you're use to. Basically starving yourself. Not only that, but the weight alone makes it hard to work out. Having to lift your own weight and everything, having all that bulge in your way, making it harder to move.

A person that weighs 95 pounds not only just has to Carry 95 pounds to run, but a person weighing 200 pounds, has to carry an extra 105 pounds while they run. There fore, making it harder, and making that person get tired faster. So if you're willing to go through all this, why not try and diet. I know it's hard and it's been really hard before, but with this surgery it's different. Not only do you now have to diet, but you also have to deal with paying for the surgery, and suffering through the recovery from surgery. Plus also there's no way you can mess up your diet, cause if you eat to much, you can end up bursting your stomach. If you're going to decide to go through it, then just go ahead, and get a 1500 Ada diet.

It will help you loose your weight gradually, and it will work. You will starve some, but it won't be as bad. Also, messing up your diet won't hurt you as much. Also if you want to do a real drastic weight change diet, just go for a renal dialysis diet. It's one of the hardest diets, and believe me, you will lose weight. The one thing about gastric bypass surgery, you will not only loose weight, but you will improve your overall health. The other alternative to weight loss surgery, is liposuction. This surgery doesn't require you to starve, but it also doesn't improve your health any.

So your cholesterol stays the same. So why would you choose this. Well for one thing, you won't have to starve, but you will have to diet. You will also have to exercise, but not having to carry all that extra weight. Also you will have the instant gratification of seeing the weight not be there anymore. How great is that. Of course you will have to go through the post surgery recovery, but it's a small price to pay. However the best way to do it is to change your eating style, and just follow the guidelines of my previous post. So liposuction, gastric bypass surgery, or new eating lifestyle, you decide.

PRODUCTS THAT USE SONY MEMORY STICKS
This are great Items to buy together. They all use the same memory stick, so you can interchange the memory stick between them. This make it easier to transfer info, and media, and saves money on buying memory sticks, as well as space, or the need to keep track of them.

Being a Medical Technician; The Begining.
Well, I finished techschool, and now it's time for on the job training. We all go around 8pm to a room where our training instructors are. The first day, we are given a book with a list of tasks we must accomplish by the end of the training. Some are simple like taking someone's blood presure. Some are gross, like putting someone in a bed pan, and taking them off. Then there are some a bit more invasive, like inserting an IV. We are then given our assingments for the day. Assignments can include a ward that holds anywhere form 20 to 50 beds of patients. The wards are a bit different, for example there is 9D, which is the ward that takes care of all the patients that are there for a Medical dicease. There is 7A which was the one I unfortunately ended up in, but I'll talk about that later. This ward holds patients that have gone through sometime of trauma, like a motorcycle accident, or a big fall. This ward, also holds patiente that have gone through complex surgery, like gastric bypases, and othere surgeries. Also we get patients that go through radiation surgery.

Then there is the cancer ward, 6C, and the heart ward, 3A. There is the obserbation ward 3C, the children's ward 4A, and the Materninty ward, 2A. We also have OB, where the births occure. Also ICU Intensive Care Unit, ER Emergency Room, OR Operating room, and the PACU Post Anesthetic Care Unit. Then there are Family and Medicine clinics, and the OB clinic. So we go through each one off these places to get our on the job training. The rule of thumb is see one, do one, and teach one. Which means watch someone do something, like insert an IV, then you do it, and when your good at it, teach the next person how to do it. So my first stop was 3A a pretty easy ward, you just go around helping the patients with what ever they need. You get the occasional bed wetter, or patient that you have to feed, but thats about it. TO BE CONTINUED...

Starting an AF Life.

First off, you should all know the AF is like any other job. You go when you have to, you have a boss that may be cool, or a complete asshole. You just have a bit more rules, but you also get a certain amount of your salary tax free. You also have free medical dental, and paid vacation. Something else you should know, you get paid by rank, and there is no such thing as overtime. So if you work your ass of, or hand out towels at the gym, your sallary is the same. So you may want to choose the job that get's you to hand towels at the gym. The only exeption are jobs that take you overseas, or give you a certain hazardous duty. In which case you have to find out what hazardous duty means, cause apparently treating patients with a million and one communicable diseases isn't hazardous. Even if you're exposed to TB, and the ebola virus, so being a med tech may not be the way to go.

Unfortunately I was involuntarylly placed on that field. So I'm a med tech. I start out on my clinicals, which sends me to the clinical dorms. Here you get to meet the first set of dorm ho's you will be able to interact with. You go to clinicals for about 8hrs a day, you don't have to march anymore there. You also don't have to talk like a machine anymore, which weirds you out cause you have a high ranking individual not paying attention to you while your dumbass tries to stand at attention, and state your reporting statement. So I start my AF adventure. I have my own room, lucky me, and just have to share my bathroom with someone else. Well, I meet some friends from whichita falls, and I meet a girl that is leaving the next day. So I put my moves on and she goes for it. I don't go all the way, cause I don't know she is leaving the next day, and it sucks, oh well, sucks to be me. She leaves, and three more ho's move in. I sord of talk to one of them and try my stuff on her aswell. While I go through clinicals I start to learn my job. They take us though every department. Dialysis, Wards, ICU, PACU, ER, ect... PACU, and ICU are some of my favorites. However I'll talk about that on the Med Tech sections. Back to the dorms, and meeting people. Wrestling being one of the most popular shows is rutinely watched in the day room. That's the room with a big TV which everyone can go to. I meet a girl named April, and we start ot hang out alot.

We go eat together, and go to Seaworld, and Fiesta Texas a couple of times. I spend night watching TV in the dayroom and meeting more people. I also watch DVDs in my neghbors room cause he has a dvd player, and TV. Everyonce in a while we bring girls over to watch TV, and stuff. As time passes by you meet people make friends and loose them. My neighbor being one of my best friends, due to the fact that he is going to the same clinicals that I am, and he has a car, and can give me rides and stuff, which is cool. So time flies by, and the final week we get this new sargeant that's incharge of the dorms who thinks we should have stricter rules when it comes to the dorms. I think F him but its my last week so I don't care, screw that guy. I get inspected on friday, and fail, and supposed to get inspected on saturday, but I'm moving out bitch so see ya. I move out, and move into the permanent party dorms. I meet a girl from the previous dorms named julie, and she introduces me to a cool new friend of mine named Nieves. So I have a new room which is walking distance from the gym, my mailbox, comisary, Base Exchange(the MALL), the base theatre, the food court, and guess what... the Classs SIX!!! Tune in Friday for more, wed for Med Tech stuff.
